The photolysis (>300 nm) of ochratoxin A (OTA, N-[[(3R)-5-chloro-8-hydroxy-3-methyl-1-oxo-7-isochromanyl]carbonyl]-3-phenyl-L-alanine, 1) in the presence of excess (2 and 12 molar equiv) cysteine (CySH) has been investigated and found to yield sulfur adducts 5 and 6 that are characterized by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The adduct 5 was ascribed to the Michael addition conjugate resulting from covalent attachment of CySH to the ochratoxin quinone (4) generated by photooxidation of OTA. This species was also formed by photolysis of a synthetic sample of the hydroquinone of OTA (ochratoxin hydroquinone, 3) in the presence of 12 equiv L-CySH. The conjugate 5 derived from photolysis of 3 with L-CySH was used for 1H-NMR analysis. The sulfur adduct 6 was the major species detected from covalent attachment of CySH to photoactivated OTA, and it resulted from direct displacement of the OTA Cl atom by CySH. The implications of the cysteinyl adducts to the in vivo toxicity of OTA are discussed, with particular emphasis given to conjugate 5, as products from the photooxidative pathway may be of relevance to the nephrotoxic properties of OTA. 相似文献

Colloidal gas aphrons (CGAs) are finding increasing application in water processing, bioseparation, bubble-entrained floc flotation, separation of oil from sand, etc. This article proposes an effective method of encapsulation to stabilize the CGA bubbles with silicic sol solution for their characterization. The stabilized CGA bubbles can keep shapes and sizes for at least 12 h; even the bubbles smaller than 25 mum can also be stabilized and exist for very long times. Effects of concentration and pH of silicic sol solution on CGA stabilization were studied. The optimal ranges of concentration and pH of silicic sol solution are 0.15-0.25 mol/dm(3) and 7-10, respectively. The bubble distortion behavior in disturbance and size distribution of CGAs were examined by using the stabilization method and photographic techniques. 相似文献

A reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method with fluorescence detection for the determination of labile monomeric aluminium has been developed through pre-column complexation using morin as the analytical reagent. The highly fluorescent aluminium-morin complex (excitation wavelength 418 nm, emission wavelength 490 nm) was separated on a Spherisorb ODS 2 column with an eluent consisting of 30% methanol and 70% water (pH 1.0 with perchloric acid). The most remarkable point of this protocol was that only the most toxic aluminium species, that is, free aqua-aluminium ion and its monomeric hydroxo complex ions, selectively respond among various aluminium complexes. Fly ash has been regarded as hazardous because of its high adsorption of toxic organic and/or inorganic pollutants. Fly ash is also known to have broad distributions of different chemical and physical properties, such as size and density. In this study, fly ash emitted from a solid waste incinerator was pre-fractionated into six sub-populations by use of gravitational SPLITT fractionation (GSF). The GSF fractions were then analyzed by sedimentation field-flow fractionation (SdFFF) and ICP–AES. SdFFF analysis showed the fly ash has a broad size distribution ranging from a few nanometers up to about 50 µm. SdFFF results were confirmed by electron microscopy. Inductively coupled plasma–atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP–AES) analysis of the GSF fractions showed the fly-ash particles contain a variety of inorganic elements including Ca, Si, Mg, Fe, and Pb. The most abundant in fly ash was Ca, followed by Si then Mg. No correlations were found between trace element concentration and particle size. 相似文献

Using geometry optimization and DFT method at the B3LYP/6-31G* level of theory for C30H20, an equilibrium geometry is identified that has the form of polyhedral hydrocarbon with five carbon–carbon single bonds linking a dodecahedrane cage and a pentaprismane cage. Thus, this molecule is a tri-cage molecule with two pentaprismane cages and one dodecahedrane cage. Vibrational frequencies and the infrared spectrum are computed at the same level of theory. The heat of formation for C30H20 has been estimated in this paper. The heat of formation of C30H20 as well as the vibrational analysis indicates that this molecule enjoys sufficient stability to allow for its experimental preparation. 相似文献
